Joint Needs Assessment Process
Because we experiencing a change in pastoral relationship, we need to examine our pastoral charge life. When we are thinking about looking for a new minister, the first thing that must be done is to complete the joint needs assessment process.
The word joint means that this process is being undertaken jointly by the pastoral charge (our congregation) and the presbytery in which the pastoral charge is located. All ministry personnel positions are accountable both to presbytery and the pastoral charge, and therefore both courts of the church are responsible and involved.
The purpose of the Joint Needs Assessment Committee (JNAC) is to consider and review the ministry and mission of our pastoral charge and our relationship with the community we serve. The JNAC then considers how these affect the ministry personnel needs of our pastoral charge.
Our JNAC committee has completed its work and is ready to bring it forward to the congregation. Below is the final JNAC report for the congregation's approval, as well as a summary document
A Congregational Meeting will be held on February 5, immediately following the 11:00am service (approximately 12:15pm) to receive this report and recommendation.
